Lesnar Could Leave After SummerSlam, Cena In Transformers Spin-off, Jericho Responds To NYC Incident

Brock Lesnar SummerSlam

Stakes Raised For Fatal Four Way

On RAW the stakes were raised for the Universal title Fatal Four Way match at SummerSlam, when Paul Heyman announced that his client would leave WWE if he did not retain the championship.

The stipulation makes the bout that much more interesting, considering strong rumors that ‘the Beast’ is jumping back to UFC. Will this be Brock Lesnar’s farewell or is it a swerve, with the loss coming at a later date?

As previously noted, Jon Jones called out Lesnar following his Light Heavyweight Championship victory over Daniel Cormier last weekend. Dana White then explained that if the fight were to go ahead, it would take at least 6 months – perhaps giving the Universal Champion enough time for another high-profile WWE match before he departs.

John Cena Tipped For Bumblebee Role

John Cena will have a leading role in an upcoming Transformers spin-off, focusing on Bumblebee. The WWE Superstar confirmed the news and his excitement on Twitter:

Here’s what we know so far about the movie:

“The story is set in the year 1987, where Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.”

Chris Jericho Apologizes For Public Confrontation

Chris Jericho has issued a statement following his heated verbal confrontation with several fans in NYC last week. The former Undisputed Champion had just attended a tribute to recently deceased musician David Z, when he became angry at people pestering him for autographs.

“David Z was a good friend of mine and I was mentally and emotionally shattered after paying tribute to him and essentially saying goodbye to him Friday night. I was not in a good state of mind at that time and instead of ignoring a pushy (aka rude) fan which is what I would usually do, I snapped. My apologies to all involved and God bless David Z.”
