Breaking Ground Debuting For Free
New WWE Network show Breaking Ground, which will focus on the Performance Center and NXT, will premiere for free on WWE’s Youtube channel and Facebook. Subsequent episode will then be Network Exclusive. None other than William Shatner does the narration for the series:
WWE® NETWORK’S BREAKING GROUND(TM) TO PREMIERE ON YOUTUBE AND FACEBOOK
STAMFORD, Conn., October 20, 2015 – WWE will offer fans free access to the first episode of its new WWE Network original series, Breaking Ground, on the WWE Facebook page and the WWE YouTube channel at noon ET on Sunday, October 25. Breaking Ground will debut in its regular WWE Network timeslot on Monday, October 26 immediately following Monday Night Raw which airs on USA Network.
Narrated by legendary actor and voiceover artist William Shatner, Breaking Ground gives viewers access to the WWE Performance Center, chronicling what it takes to become a WWE Superstar.
The 10-episode series is produced by WWE and 3 Ball Entertainment. Todd A. Nelson, Ross Weintraub, Brant Pinvidic, DJ Nurre and Jason Sklaver serve as executive producers for 3 Ball Entertainment. Kevin Dunn is executive producer for WWE.
“Ever since I tossed the legendary Jerry “The King” Lawler(TM) out of the ring, I’ve been enamored with WWE,” said Shatner. “My love affair continues with the new show, Breaking Ground.”
Added 3 Ball Entertainment co-CEOs Todd A. Nelson and Ross Weintraub, “We’re thrilled to be in business with WWE on Breaking Ground, a show that highlights the serious athletic training, ability, and fortitude needed to be among this elite group.”
“We remain committed to developing premium, original content on WWE Network,” said Michelle Wilson, WWE Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer. “Breaking Ground will give our fans unprecedented access and a look into what it takes to make it in WWE.”
RAW Rating Up Slightly
It seems the appearance of the legends on last night’s RAW helped the rating, but only slightly. The show drew an average audience of 3.356 million viewers, up from last week’s 3.285 million number, which was the lowest rated non-holiday episode in 18 years!
It’s believed Steve Austin’s appearance was last minute decision as Steve originally had no intention of appearing and even said as much on Twitter. This may explain why he basically did nothing.
