Hulk Hogan Awarded Punitive Damages
Hulk Hogan has been awarded a further $25 million in punitive damages relating to the Gawker sex tape lawsuit. This includes $15 million from Gawker itself and $10 million from owner Nick Denton. This brings Hogan’s total to about $140 million.
This still doesn’t mean he will actually end up with anything close to this amount in a lump sum. It depends on Gawker and Denton’s finances and their ability to pay. They are also filing an appeal, which in theory could overturn the decision.

Meanwhile music act Fifth Harmony will be opening the event itself singing America the Beautiful:
As first reported by USA Today, WWE has announced that pop sensation Fifth Harmony will perform “America the Beautiful,” kicking off WrestleMania on Sunday, April 3, in front of the WWE Universe at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and live on WWE Network around the world. Fifth Harmony will join the likes of renowned artists Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and John Legend who have opened WWE’s annual pop culture extravaganza.
“We are so excited to be a part of this year’s WrestleMania!” the group said. “It’s such an honor to be chosen to perform at one of WWE’s biggest events. We can’t wait to see everyone in Arlington!”
