Gunner To NXT? Daniel Bryan Update, Heyman Praises Renee
Gunner In Talks With WWE?
Former TNA star Gunner told Channel Guide Magazine this week that he’s been in talks with WWE:
“Wrestling is my number one love since I was a kid. It’s what I always wanted to do. Ever since I was five I dreamed for that WrestleMania moment or wrestling some of the top guys on Monday nights. I definitely want to pursue WWE. There are some talks going on. I hope it comes to pass, so we’ll see. When it comes to the independent scene, it’s been awesome. That is where I came from.”
Daniel Bryan Seeing Another Doctor
Daniel Bryan who is still being kept out of the ring due to fears of more concussions, is seeing one more doctor to determine whether he can return. He told IGN.com:
“I had a concussion in April, and obviously they’re very hyper-sensitive about concussion stuff right now. One neurologist who specializes in concussions – who was the neurologist for the Super Bowl last year – cleared me with no limitations. All my testing came back excellent. But the WWE’s medical doctor is skeptical, because of my history of concussions and that sort of thing. So they will not clear me. So now, we have two doctors: one saying no, one saying yes. They’re going to send me to a third doctor at some point in the near future and that doctor will decide my fate.”
Bryan revealed that if they won’t let him wrestle he’ll happily go back to the independents:
“John Cena and I actually had this discussion. He said, ‘if something were to happen to you and the WWE, would you go back to doing the indies?’ Absolutely!”
