As part of WWE’s ongoing relationship with independent promotion Evolve, Triple H was backstage at EVOLVE 54 from Florida. NXT’s Chad Gable and Jason Jordan signed autographs and William Regal even got in the ring and introduced their Champion Timothy Thatcher:

The feeling is that Evolve is now an unofficial developmental territory feeding in to NXT, a bit like how ECW would foster stars that WWE were interested in or wanted to gain experience off their books. There’s even speculation that Triple H is grooming Gabe Sapolsky for a future position in WWE.

Tough Enough Winner In Royal Rumble?
The Wrestling Observer is speculating that WWE might put Tough Enough winner Josh “Bronson Mathews” Bredl in to the Royal Rumble as punishment for his “social jobbers” comment on Twitter. The punishment would literally be that everyone will gang up on him and “make him humble”.
