Wife of Fired WWE Announcer Takes Shot At Tom Phillips, Another Released

Rich Brennan released WWE

Rich Brennan’s Wife Says Tom Phillips Buries People

Jessica Bocchini – the wife of recently released WWE announcer Rich Brennan, took a shot at Tom Phillips on Twitter – claiming he likes to ‘bury’ people.

The Tweet was in response to a fan who relayed comments recently made by Taz on his podcast.

“Rich Brennan was a humble type of play by guy learning the ropes and wanting to pay his dues,” said Taz on his April 28th show. “Tom Phillips? Complete opposite,” he continued.

When Twitter user @JoeyOnEarth Tweeted this to Bocchini, she replied saying “‘Making it’ in WWE has less to do with talent than who you’re willing to bury on your way to the top. Which is Tom’s speciality.”

At one time Rich Brennan was calling both NXT and SmackDown, but has only been filling the backstage interviewer role in recent months. Interestingly however on his first run on SmackDown it was actually him who replaced Phillips.

Although Taz called to attention Phillips’ alleged cocky attitude, he said he still thinks he is a better announcer than Brennan. He suggested Brennan’s downfall was not settling in to the three man team – essentially being too nice.

Brennan’s wife has re-tweeted several supportive messages.

Brennan who was often referred to as the Milhouse of WWE, has kept quiet about the release on his own page. He simply left the following Simpson’s reference on Wednesday:

Kyle Edwards Leaves WWE

Meanwhile Kyle Edwards has also left the company. He revealed the news on Twitter:

Edwards (real name Arda Ocal), had mostly been hosting online content and some of the international C shows like Bottom Line and Experience. He had been with the company since 2014 after following in Renee Young’s footsteps, both having previously hosted the Aftermath RAW post show on Canadian TV before joining WWE.

WWE hired Cathy Kelley over WrestleMania weekend, and this week they also signed Andrea D’Marco to NXT.

Presumably they are taking on at least some of the load left behind by Brennan and Edwards.
