WWE TLC Preview

This is a slow time of the year for the WWE, as they’re going up against the NFL, the NBA and the MLB Postseason, to name a few, so the company is trying to combat them by stocking the cards of their events with WrestleMania-caliber matches. Survivor Series takes place on November 19 so WWE is already working on storylines on RAW and SmackDown LIVE heading into the traditional team-vs- team event.

The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose) recently reunited and they appear to be main eventing TLC against The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro, Braun Strowman and Kane in a 5-on- 3 handicap match. It will be an epic match and I hope it will lead to a bigger Survivor Series-type feud.

Alexa Bliss will defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Mickie James. Both can put on a good match and their promos before the match have been fun to watch but another woman not involved in this match will steal the show. We are talking about former undefeated NXT Champion Asuka, who will make her RAW debut against Emma.

Remember to research Bovada when placing action on this event. Here are my WWE TLC predictions:

The Shield vs. The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro, Braun Strowman & Kane – 5-on- 3 Handicap Match

Having The Miz involved in this feud is a great decision because he is one of the best talkers in the company, so he was able to sell this match better than anyone. Teaming him up with former Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Sheamus and not his ‘Miztourage’ was a good call too and adding the Monster Among Men Braun Strowman and the returning Kane raises the stakes for the reunited Shield.

This can be a great match, even when it seems there's a logical winner. The Shield has the deck stacked against them but it doesn’t make sense to have them lose in their return. A loss could set up a bigger Survivor Series match and it won't make them look weak since it would be on a 5-on- 3 handicap match but the safe bet here is The Shield.

Prediction: The Shield wins

Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Mickie James – Raw Women’s Championship

As mentioned before, Asuka's debut will overshadow this match, but that’s ok, Bliss against James will be entertaining nonetheless. The outcome is predictable, which helps us from a betting perspective. I see Bliss losing the title soon but not to James. As much as Mickie James deserve this spotlight, giving her the title now makes no sense. Asuka will win the title soon and a feud between her and Alexa Bliss would be incredibly intriguing.

Prediction: Alexa Bliss retains

Asuka vs. Emma

Emma beat Bayley, Sasha Banks, Dana Brooke, and Alicia Fox in a Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match for the right to face Asuka in her Raw debut at TLC. Asuka is already a huge name in the WWE and her unbeaten run in NXT will continue on RAW, so, Emma, who Asuka already beat at NXT, will be her first victim on the main roster, as Asuka is built into an unbeatable superstar like Goldberg. This is the safest bet on this event.

Prediction: Asuka wins

Kalisto (c) vs. Enzo Amore – Cruiserweight Championship

Having Kalisto join the cruiserweight division was a smart move because he was not being used on Raw and he was going nowhere. An even smarter move was having him take the title off Enzo Amore, who shouldn’t have won it in the first place. Knowing WWE it wouldn’t surprise if they let Enzo Amore cheat to win the title again, just to build heat. I think Kalisto wins but I’m not betting on this match.

Prediction: Kalisto retains

Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt

Or should I say, The Demon vs. Sister Abigail? I'm not looking forward to this match. These guys have fought each other three times already and the feud has been boring. Having Wyatt appear as Sister Abigail makes this feud even worse. Balor is rumored to challenge Brock Lesnar next so I don’t see him losing here.

Prediction: Finn Balor wins
