Sting and Cena On Same Page
On last night’s RAW Sting addressed Seth Rollins, explaining that he would never have the title if it wasn’t for the Authority. Later in the show Sting stood side by side with John Cena, and it was revealed Rollins will have to pull double duty at Night of Champions by also defending the US Championship against Cena.
Hogan Digs Bigger Hole
Hulk Hogan’s damage control appearance on Good Morning America has already backfired. He made the silly claim that during his time growing up in Port Tampa that everyone would greet each other with the N word, which according to locals is simply not the case.
In actuality it is more likely that there was an undercurrent of racism in the area in the 50s and 60. He could have said THAT was the culture of the time, but instead he tried to make it seem like everyone was politely using the N word as friends.
Linda Bryat, who grew up with Hogan, told WTSP-TV:
That was not the culture when Terry grew up here. Terry was the first guy to ever be a role model for this neighborhood and he had the kids wrapped around his finger. He had the biggest fan base you ever could imagine and he did nothing with it.
“There was a time this area was poor but we didn’t say that word,” says another former neighbour.
Zahra Schreiber’s Release
The release of Seth Rollins’ girlfriend and NXT Diva Zahra Schreiber is curious to me. While her postings were certainly careless and ignorant for somebody working towards becoming a public figure, unlike Hogan the CONTEXT of what she posted was not necessarily malicious.
For those unaware, fans tracked down some old Instagram images. One showed some historical Nazi swastika symbols. The other was a pony cartoon character dressed like Hitler. She did not qualify why she shared those images, and said the following when called on it:
* I like history ha
* It’s really not anyone’s business anyway. I can post whatever photos I want, if you don’t like them my feelings won’t be hurt if you unfollow.
* The swastika means prosperity and luck. It was around way before hitler turned it into an icon. Take it how you want I could careless. This is too funny.
* One of my best friends back home is black and another is married to a black man. I dislike people for their actions not their race. If it happens to be a black, Asian or white person so be it. Mind your business. I’m not all on your s–t for things you say that I have no respect for.
* F–k off. I’ll take interest anything I want. If you look next to it is a photo of an actress who refused nazism and was awarded right to America. I’ll put whatever I want on wall. Get the f–k over it.
Does she deserve to be fired for this? I’m not so sure she does.
