James Storm Offered NXT Deal, Takeover Respect Results, Orton Getting Married

James Storm NXT

Time To Believe The James Storm Hype

It looks like it’s time to believe the recent James Storm hype as he changed his Twitter profile picture to a WWE/Susan Komen logo, and Tweeted about the Network.

Rumors of Storm being spotted at NXT events have been rife all week, but oddly not one person was able to secure a credible photo. Then Storm himself denied the reports. However both PWInsider.com and the Wrestling Observer report that he was indeed backstage during NXT Takeover: Respect.

It’s believed that he has been offered a role that would see him wrestle on NXT like any other talent, but also help train talent backstage.

[It’s irritating that WWE are now giving independent and TNA stars such credit (to the point of making them trainers), when their prime was often several years ago. At one time they arrogantly considered Storm, Samoa Joe etc nothing. Now they’re all of a sudden respected veterans that can help their new brand.]

NXT Takeover: Respect Results

– NXT Champion Finn Bálor & Samoa Joe def. Dash & Dawson (Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semi-Final)

– Baron Corbin & Rhyno def. Jason Jordan & Chad Gable (Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semi-Final)

– Asuka def. Dana Brooke.

– Apollo Crews def. Tyler Breeze.

– NXT Champion Finn Bálor & Samoa Joe def. Baron Corbin & Rhyno (Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Final)

– Bayley def. Sasha Banks, 3-2, in a 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match for the NXT Women’s Championship.

After the show Sasha Banks apologized to Bayley superfan Izzy, who she made cry during the match.
