EC3 Discusses TNA’s Future

In a recent interview with Kevin Eck new TNA Champion Ethan Carter III discussed speculation about TNA’s future:

I’ve never been a part of such unwarranted negativity as some heap on TNA, even if those same ones praise me. Most of the time it is speculation, but the only thing I can do is the best work I possibly can. I can’t and won’t be distracted by any noise. I’ll let the chips fall where they may. Rock and roll, deal with it. Having said that, I do feel fully confident in what we as a company are doing and going.

He also discussed his time in WWE developmental as Derrick Bateman:

I never saw myself as a “comedy guy” and it was a conversation that fell on deaf ears often. At the time WWE NXT was not the concept that it is today. My sole intent was to be “entertaining,” “stand out,” and just maybe “put smiles on people’s faces.” If you’re putting me in the position to do an off-the-wall game show/wrestling show, or run an hour of TV where we are in the midst of wacky soap opera, I am going to do everything I can to make it entertaining, but it is an insult to viewers and the performers to expect them to “take it seriously.” The work we put in to make it what it was, that was serious, but it was a throwaway show that they couldn’t care less about at the time. I tried to make the most of it. I fully knew what I was capable of being, it just wasn’t an opportunity granted.

Magnus Says TNA Locker Room Is Turbulent

Magnus who recently departed TNA and is already set for GFW discussed the state of Dixie’s company and how the locker room are reacting, in an interview with the Jobbing Out Podcast:

When I gave my notice, by the time we got off the phone, I felt like 100 lb weight has been lifted off my back. To be honest, it’s been very turbulent. There were certain things I heard in the conference call, where the talent said things like I’m disgusted by this, or we have the right to know…the thing you have to remember is nobody owes you a living. You don’t have a right to be guaranteed anything.

[Jeff] had a good idea of some fundamental parts of booking. When Jeff left, there were a lot of things that I felt that there was a struggle, that when Jeff was there, he would have nipped it in the bud.

Kurt Angle’s Tumor Not Serious

According to the Wrestling Observer Kurt Angle’s tumor in his neck is not serious and he will not need an extended amount of time off after surgery. He’s actually known about the issue since 2012, but it has only recently began to impede on his nerves, which in turn has caused muscle wastage in his arm.

Because several weeks of Impact have already been taped, he may not miss TV at all.
